August 2024 Newsletter:

I’ve been thinking and dreaming about so many of you these last weeks. There was the full moon, and so many unusual and interesting patterns in the planets during the last month that have been occurring according to our Astrologer. Then, the huge shuffling in our USA government for several weeks that we all experienced in various ways. Recently, I have heard from so many friends and neighbors around me, that they have been experiencing life surprises and challenges, especially in their families. 

For me, it’s more about health surprises . . . varicose vein issues, allergy reactions like diarrhea. I think it’s caused by one of the supplements I’m taking. But when I take a walk in nature, it goes away.

Randy, my Acupuncturist, sang a song to me:
 “Well, I made it to first, but I felt a little burst
  Diarrhea . . . Diarrhea
 I ran on to cross third, but I passed a little turd
 Diarrhea . . . Diarrhea
 When I finally crossed home, I felt a lot of foam
 Diarrhea . . . Diarrhea”
     Written by a young schoolboy.

And then, I RECEIVED A PLANE TICKET IN THE MAIL TO GO VISIT MY DAUGHTER, SHAWNA, IN ALBANIA, THEN SPAIN! WOW!
Several months ago, we had talked about the possibility of exploring, together, this beautiful little country by the Mediterranean Sea. Now, I have the ticket to go . . . and I get to see my daughter! Double WOW!

And now, my young neighbor, Kyle, has offered to feed my little bird buddies, my wonderful husband has given me a “Thumbs Up”, and his lovely daughter, Jenny, has invited him to stay at her place while I’m gone. WHOOHOO!!!

So, I’LL BE GONE: SEPTEMBER 17^th thru OCTOBER 8^TH.

Anyway, the ups and downs of our lives, these days, can be powerful . . . whether it’s health issues, or the grief of a beloved elder ready to leave this planet, or the country’s upheaval over “Who’s our next president? or an exciting trip overseas it is:
           TIME TO BREATHE . . . . DEEP!!!!

Any road you take in an effort to avoid your destiny will inevitably turn into a preparation period – a growth concourse – through which you are forced to face what led you there in the first place. In the same way you cannot hide from what is yours to have, you also cannot run from what is yours to heal, to grow from, to grow into. The things that are meant for us make us the people we were meant to be.”

So, how is the weather in each of your areas and states? Ours, in the Colorado mountains, has been brilliant blue skies, to rainstorms and hail and wind . . . all happening in the same day.

Our flower gardens are expanding, bigger than ever before, then, suddenly, lose all their flowers to hail, then, in a few days, beautiful new flowers start popping their heads up. It’s completely unpredictable right now, of course.

Again Reminder: BREATHE AND KEEP WATERING

In the midst of this time, for a while, I wondered if it was time for me to fully retire my “heart-filling” private therapy practice, as Robert nears ninety years, and I near eighty-two years.
I talked to several close friends who have made that move, each for different reasons.
Then I talked to Robert. He said: “Why do you want to retire?’
“Well, I think you’ll need me more as you turn ninety,” was my response.
“You love your work! I don’t need to be taken care of! I don’t need you to quit!” he said firmly.

So, here we go! One day at a time . . . right?
Many dear old friends have contacted me out of the blue lately. 
Sometimes they want a treatment. Sometimes they just want to reconnect.
I feel loved! I love my work and am so grateful for all the tools I’ve gained from so many wonderful teachers that allow me to be present and helpful to people over the years. I’ve had a great life!

If I may offer a final bit of advice as we navigate through this time together: Please listen to your heart as we get closer and closer to our country’s Presidential Election. Let’s stay together and choose the best for this amazing country: United States of America!
