Well, here we are in a brand-new year! I hope your holidays were full of joy, love, and maybe a few sweet indulgences. How was your holiday?
Ours was warm and fun with family — and yes, I ate too much! So now I’m back on a gentle Cleansing Diet to regain balance and energy. It feels good to start the year lighter and more refreshed.
Just before the Holidays, I got celebrated by hiking friends for my 83rd birthday! We had a lovely lunch together after hiking on a lovely sunny day. There were three Sagittarians who all had a birthday within a few days of each other. What Fun!
We’ve had such *interesting* weather lately — warm sunshine one day, little sun the next, and wild winds in between! Sometimes I wonder if Mother Nature is showing us just how real climate change has become. Still, I’m grateful for the beauty of each day and the chance to step outside and breathe it all in.
And now look at the weather! Snow, beautiful white deep snow everywhere. People are hunkered in. The temperature is below freezing. The poet calls it “a warm of blanket of love on the earth.”
My daughter Shawna has left, and we deeply miss her. She changed our lives in so many wonderful ways. She and Robert’s daughter, Jenny, have been helping us go through our “stuff” — and our finances too — simplifying everything as we gently ease into our later years. What a gift it has been to share that time together. She brought fun and adventure into every day.
Did I mention before that I am now volunteering at our new Horse Rescue Ranch in Green Mountain Falls? I try to go two to three days a week to get my “horse love.” We feed, water, blanket, and love on them whenever we get to groom them. Of course, we always have to muck their stalls, pens and pastures of poop. This work is perfect for me as a double Sagittarius which is symbolized by a horse. This work feeds my soul and brings me joy.
So now the Holidays are over and I’m continuing my healing work, one day a week. I am back to enjoying time with all my client/friends on Fridays. My hands still remember how to help others through Craniosacral, Lymphatic/Immune System support, Polarity, Deep Tissue, Essential Oils, and Massage. It’s deeply rewarding work, and I’m grateful I can still offer it.
If you’d like to schedule a session, I’d love to see you! Don’t let money stand in the way — I still happily accept donations.
Wishing you warmth, health, and peace as we move through this new year.
